The Multimedia Designer course offers a comprehensive dive into the world of digital content creation, equipping students with the skills to design and produce engaging multimedia materials. Students will learn how to conceptualize, plan, and create visually appealing and interactive designs using industry-standard tools and software. By the end of the course, students will have a well-rounded portfolio that showcases their creative and technical abilities in multimedia design.

Key Areas:

  1. Graphic Design:

    • Typography, color theory, and layout principles.
    • Digital image editing and vector graphics using tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
  2. Video Production:

    • Storyboarding, filming techniques, and editing.
    • Motion graphics and animation using software like Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  3. Web Design & Development:

    • Fundamentals of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
    • Designing user-friendly, responsive websites with tools like Adobe XD or Figma.
  4. Interactive Media:

    • Creation of interactive content such as mobile applications, presentations, and e-learning modules.
    • Understanding user experience (UX) design principles and interactive prototyping.
  5. Audio Design:

    • Sound recording, mixing, and editing.
    • Synchronizing audio with visual elements in multimedia projects.

Assessment & Project Types:

  1. Graphic Design Projects: Creation of logos, posters, and branding materials.
  2. Video & Animation Projects: Short films, promotional videos, or animated sequences.
  3. Web Design Projects: Designing and coding a functional website or a digital portfolio.
  4. Interactive Design Projects: Developing interactive applications or multimedia presentations.
  5. Final Portfolio: A curated selection of completed projects showcasing the student’s ability across multimedia disciplines.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course, students will be able to:

  1. Design visually compelling graphics and multimedia content using appropriate software tools.
  2. Plan, shoot, and edit professional-level video and animation projects.
  3. Build user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, and responsive websites using modern web development techniques.
  4. Create interactive and engaging multimedia experiences, considering UX/UI design principles.
  5. Integrate sound, visuals, and interactivity into cohesive multimedia projects.
  6. Develop a professional portfolio that highlights their strengths as a multimedia designer.

This course will prepare students for careers in multimedia design, digital content creation, and related fields, giving them the skills to thrive in both creative and technical roles.

Regular & Intensive Learning Option

  • Class Schedule:
    Morning Students – Monday to Thursday, 09:00 am – 03:00 pm
    Afternoon Students – Monday to Thursday, 03:30 pm – 08:00 pm
  • Teaching Method: Online & Offline / Online only (eg. Google meet video call)
  • Course Duration: 6 sessions (15 months)
  • Session Length: 1 session = 3 months
  • DWTA Qualification: Academic Diploma
  • CTVET’s National TVET Qualification Framework (NTVETQF): Higher National Diploma
  • Tuition & Guidance Fees:
    • Ghc 2600 per session or
    • Ghc 900 per month

Slow-Paced & Relaxed Learning Option

    Weekend Evening Students – Friday to Sunday, 06:00 pm – 08:00 pm
  • Teaching Method: Online & Offline / Online only (eg. Google meet video call)
  • Course Duration: 6 sessions (15 months)
  • Session Length: 1 session = 3 months
