At DevWorld Tech Academy (DWTA), our programs and qualifications are revolutionary, blending theory and practical knowledge to equip students with skills essential for solving real-world problems and advancing both their academic and professional careers. Graduates from top IT institutions in Ghana, like DWTA, possess not only expertise but also resilience, making them stand out.

Project Types and Levels for Diploma Programs

DevWorld Tech Academy emphasizes hands-on learning, ensuring that our students master theoretical concepts while gaining practical experience through real-world projects. This approach ensures that graduates are proficient in applying their knowledge, a hallmark of the best IT schools in Accra.

For Diploma and Professional Diploma students, DWTA offers a unique opportunity: we sell the projects you complete (when applicable), with revenue shared between you, your team, and your project adviser. This allows students to earn money while they study, turning academic projects into real income — a benefit offered by only the best computer schools in Ghana.

At DWTA, you’ll work on a variety of projects, including Micro Projects, Mini Projects, Major Projects, Graduation Projects, and Path Projects. These types of projects are exclusive to DWTA and are detailed below:

Micro Projects

These are concept-based practice tasks designed to reinforce the skills you’ve learned. They are assigned regularly—every few days, weekly, or at the end of a lesson—whenever a new principle or concept has been taught.

Mini Projects

Mini Projects are smaller components of your Major or Graduation Project, typically due every two weeks or monthly. By completing Mini Projects, you’ll have accomplished 60% to 80% of your Major or Graduation Project by the end of your program.

Major Projects

Diploma and Professional Diploma students are assigned to teams of 3–5 to work on a Major Project throughout their study period. The project is assessed at the end of the program, and DWTA may sell the project, sharing a portion of the proceeds with the students. Only Diploma and Professional Diploma students participate in these projects.

Graduation Projects

All students, regardless of qualification level, must complete a Graduation Project to demonstrate their understanding of the curriculum. Unlike Major Projects, this is an individual effort, mandatory for graduation. Participation is reserved for Diploma and Professional Diploma students.

Path Projects

Exclusive to Industry Verified students, Path Projects focus on real-world applications in specific career tracks: Freelancing, Employment, or Entrepreneurship. These students stay an additional session to complete projects in actual industry settings, rather than in the academy.

The best way to master a skill is through consistent practice, especially when that practice mirrors real-world scenarios. At DWTA, students complete numerous projects throughout their studies. These include Micro Projects, Mini Projects, Major Projects, Graduation Projects, and Path Projects. The type of project a student undertakes depends on their qualification level, trimester, career track, and other factors, ensuring personalized and practical learning at Ghana’s leading IT training institution.
