About Us:

Although we started as a school, DevWorld Tech Academy is expanding and so we are establishing a new cybersecurity firm based in Ghana, on a mission to provide top-tier cybersecurity services to businesses, institutions, and individuals. 

Our goal for this new venture is to offer a full suite of services ranging from penetration testing to malware analysis and IT security audits.

As we begin this journey, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Cyber Security Engineer to join as our first technical hire and help shape the future of cybersecurity in Ghana.

Role Overview:

As the founding Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up and managing our core technical operations. You will wear multiple hats—from designing secure systems and performing client security assessments to supporting service development and delivery. This is an exciting opportunity to build something impactful from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure IT infrastructures for clients
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and incident response
  • Manage network and system security setups
  • Support security audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks
  • Research current threat trends and recommend solutions
  • Work directly with the founder to define and grow the company’s service offerings
  • Train or supervise junior staff as the team expands

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity engineering or a closely related role
  • Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, endpoint protection, and SIEM tools
  • Familiarity with tools such as Kali Linux, Wireshark, Metasploit, etc.
  • Understanding of OWASP Top 10, ISO 27001, NIST, or other security frameworks
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to clients
  • Self-driven and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, OSCP) are a plus
  • Must be currently based in Ghana and available for onsite work
